This program was started in 2019 to bridge the gap from Friday afternoon to Monday morning by providing non-perishable, easy to prepare food for the children in need in our school. We receive support from local churches, as well as private donations for this weekly program.
We raise funds for our families and school! Our goal is to provide programs and event to connect our families with our school, but to do this we need money. The PTA earns money through events, community sponsorships and spirit wear.
We will focus much of our fundraising efforts during the 2022-2023 year on our spirit nights. Spirit nights allow families an easy way to get lunch and/or dinner on the table, while the PTA gets a percentage of sales. These scheduled nights work double duty for our community during this critical time; it helps our school and a local business.
The Birthday Books Program is the our newest program that we introduced last year. We want to promote a love of learning and with the help of very generous donations, we will be giving each child at Corinth Elementary a book for their birthday.
We plan for 2023-24 to be a great year within the Corinth Elementary PTA. We will be continuing our Backpack Blessings program for the 5th year and Birthday Books from the 4th year.
Profits from 2016 and 2017 went to pay half of our new electronic sign at the school. This was a major investment and the PTA worked hard for 2 years to help with the purchase.
Fundraising from 2018 purchased new playground packs for each grade that included different balls and activities for the children to play with during recess.
We are excited to give the school $5,400 for our first poster printer. This will be used by teachers for class projects, hall signs and so much more.
2020 ended with a mess but the PTA was still able to give our teachers, administrators and staff a new lounge to relax in. The remodel includes a new sitting area and office area, as well as all new decor, kitchenwares, keurig and so much more.
Our volunteers are moms, dads, grandparents, family, friends and community members. Our volunteers work, own businesses and have families to support and love. Our members are doers and givers. We welcome all the help we can get. We are #BETTERTOGETHER!
